[licks his lips as though tasting something delicious]
[quickly turns on him and jabs him in the stomach with the hilt of the dagger]
[spits in his face]: I've wondered now, for so many years, how is it that you, Jade Curtiss, the Necromancer, is still allowed to live despite your crimes?
[flashes the dagger blade, making a small cut in Jade's cheek, enough for it to bleed]

[his pupils turn red and the familiar, awful stench from the previous fight in the forest emerges from Peony's body. Dark, shadowy, wraith-like things seep out from him as well and hover nearby]
How I long to taste your blood...It was your mistake for not finishing me back then...
[picks up the sword and lunges at Jade, swinging the weapon at him]

[this was his friend, his emperor....he couldn't harm him...]
[but...he had no choice...]
[quickly turns his body, sending the entity stumbling past him several feet...giving Jade time to recover himself]
