Software?? Hardware?? Hmm... Only Adobe Ilustrator CS3 for smothing [quick trace] the line art, and Photoshop CS3 for coloring the art for the software! And my favourite best mouse for the hardware! I'm not using any Wacom or something like that... That's all!

You're so COOL Luke!! I wonder why couldn't use program like as Adobe Ilustrator and Photoshop CS3 .. I'm really suck on those program. I only use SAI both for lineart and coloring.
..And I use a Genius Tablet.
But my laptop is weird.. It never can read mouse... so I never draw or browsing with mouse.

Using SAI is good too! It's much more easier than PSCS3, but i dunno how to use SAI!! yup... I don't have tablet, so only use my mouse... AICS3 only for smoothing the lineart tough, so it will looked the same as vector lineart!

your knowledge about lineart is wide, Luke!
I don't know much about vector or whatever. I only use pen application to make the lineart.
hm.. please tell me what is the difference between normal lineart and vector, if I don't trouble you..

Uhh... Umm... Actually... The linearts in three arts that I've posted here today is not vector lineart. It's normal lineart from the scanned draw manual. I mean... It's like this...
How do I draw?
First, I'll draw something (like chibis or normals or even yaoi) in a piace of cleaned paper.
Using Pencil at first, then bold it using Drawing Pen.
Then I scan it with scanner.
After that, I cleaned the scanned pic with brightnessing the pic, and high contrass the line into a really thick black.
Then, I use Adobe Ilustrator CS3 to make the lineart into vector, using quick trace.
The lineart then will turned out vector, really smooth and thick black line.
And finally, I color it using Photoshop CS3 with anime style color.
That was the my recent way of coloring... But I dunno about how you draw...
Each person has his/her own way to draw and color, right?

yeah.. it's kinda complicated... since I don't understand how to use PS CS3 and being a noob. *sweatdropped*
I'll try to do your technique later since I need more drawing experience.
hm.. My way for drawing:
for digital I draw on SAI directly with tablet's help, but sometimes I draw on a paper first, then scan and trace it on SAI by pencil tool.
after scan it sometimes I also set the brightness or whatever for the picture become more clear and neat (with PS CS3 help) but I don't know sure..
after make the line then I color it in many layers.
I almost leave my arts with the background blankly (white only) since don't know to handle it.
How about you Luke when make the BG?
Sorry if my explanation is kinda difficult to understand.

No... it's fine... I have a friend who use SAI too, so I know a bit of it...
And... uhh... BG...? I'm bad at drawing BG either!!! So I only make a color gradation or thick replied line to it.. Hmmm... or maybe draw a simple scenery... like plants, trees, things in the house, etc... Or maybe using effect shape, like stars or something like that...
So... I'M BAD AT IT!!! Maybe you can ask Estellise about it...
